Jon Moxley to face a massive betrayal upon his return to AEW? Looking at the chances
Jon Moxley has not competed in AEW for some time now and there is no telling when his return could be. Could he be on the receiving end of a betrayal upon his return? This could be coming from stablemate Claudio Castagnoli.
Mox is currently on a hiatus as the promotion has granted him some time off following his match at Forbidden Door. He has also not been seen backstage in any capacity since then.
The Blackpool Combat Club has not been a great place, both as a faction and as individual competitors for some members. Only Bryan Danielson has found success as of late. There have also been some hints at disharmony within the group, with Claudio getting into a heated exchange with Danielson after he bowed out of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
Claudio Castagnoli could grow tired of his current situation and take this out on his stablemates. Jon Moxley is considered one of the focal points of the BCC and could be a great target for him. The two had a great run as a tag team earlier this year, but following that, they never kept up the momentum. With both stars without a match for All In, this feud could be settled at the pay-per-view.
Claudio Castagnoli has not been a fan of some of his stablemates' recent alliances in AEW
At AEW Double or Nothing, Bryan Danielson represented AEW as they took the fight to The Elite in hopes of taking them down and doing what was best for the company.
Among those previously set to team up with Danielson were Eddie Kingston and FTR. In the end, Eddie had to back out due to him sustaining a serious injury, and Darby Allin emerged as his replacement.
Claudio Castagnoli was not a fan of Bryan teaming up with Eddie, considering how they have had their fair share of disagreements through the years. He did not mince his words regarding Kingston.
"But him and Eddie Kingston in Anarchy in the Arena again? Last time we were in the Anarchy in the Arena together, it was almost the end of Bryan's career, and I came in to replace Bryan against Zack Sabre Jr. because people didn't know if Bryan's gonna wrestle again because of Eddie's actions. And I know Eddie is walking around saying he's a changed man [or] whatever."
With Claudio not having the best of runs recently, his frustrations could boil over and he could take these out on Jon Moxley instead. It remains to be seen if a heel turn could be the move that turns his career around.
