Jon Moxley to kick out top AEW star because of a big mistake at Grand Slam 2024? Exploring the possibility
Jon Moxley could expel a top AEW champion because of a huge fumble at Grand Slam 2024. The star being discussed is Wheeler Yuta.
The former AEW World Champion is on a mission to take over the Jacksonville-based promotion. His new faction has targeted his first prey as Private Party, the tag team that cooled off after being deemed as the future of the division.
On the recent edition of Dynamite, Moxley, Claudio, and PAC called out Wheeler Yuta as he didn't respond to them in any way. The latter has been going through difficult times since Bryan Danielson was attacked and betrayed by the BCC. The faction asked Wheeler to show up on Dynamite as he holds the AEW World Trios Championship along with them.
Turns out, the champions, Castagnoli, PAC, and Yuta, are scheduled to put their title on the line in an open challenge this week. The challenge was accepted by Private Party and as a result, the tag team was ambushed by the entire Jon Moxley-led stable. With Wheeler Yuta's head not being in the right place, he could cost his team the trios championship.
As a result, Moxley could kick out the former ROH Pure Champion from the group. This would mean he would eventually align with the American Dragon when he returns given that he was conflicted to choose sides last week.
Jon Moxley will be in action at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam
The former AEW World Champion has been busy since returning from hiatus. Not only did he form a new and more destructive version of the Blackpool Combat Club faction, but he is also aiming to win the AEW World Championship from Bryan Danielson.
A couple of weeks ago, Moxley called out Darby Allin and challenged him to put his number one contender's spot for the world title on the line at Grand Slam. The two stars will face on the upcoming episode of Dynamite.
It will be interesting to see if Jon Moxley earns his chance to face Danielson in the future.
