Jon Moxley may finally turn on major AEW star and replace him with a former ally at WrestleDream 2024
Jon Moxley could betray Wheeler Yuta and even replace him with his former ally Sami Callihan at AEW WrestleDream 2024. The event is set to take place this weekend on October 12, 2024, at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington.
Yuta will be teaming up with his mentor, Bryan Danielson, to take on PAC and Claudio Castagnoli at Dynamite: Title Tuesday. The Purveyor of Violence will be taking on The American Dragon for the AEW World Title at WrestleDream.
Jon Moxley could officially kick Wheeler Yuta out of the Blackpool Combat Club
It has been around a month since Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli betrayed Bryan Danielson at the All Out PPV. Mox tried to recruit Wheeler Yuta, but the latter showed his allegiance to The American Dragon.
Yuta is the AEW World Trios Champion with Claudio and PAC, who are both Mox's associates. He is still a part of the Blackpool Combat Club but this could change at WrestleDream 2024 this Saturday. Mox could turn on him and kick him out of the group for not taking his side and choosing Bryan Danielson over him.
Sami Callihan's potential introduction to Blackpool Combat Club
If and when Jon Moxley kicks out Wheeler Yuta from the BBC stable, that would make room for another member to join and take Yuta's place. Moxley is building himself a strong group of rebels who would follow him blindly.
He already has Marina Shafir, Claudio Castganoli, and PAC on his side, who are dominant wrestlers on their own. He could introduce Sami Callihan to his version of Blackpool Combat Club, who could help him go up against the AEW World Champion at the upcoming AEW WrestleDream PPV.
Moxley and Callihan have a lot of history together
Moxley and Callihan were former tag team partners during their time in the indies. They went by the name The Switchblade Conspiracy and worked for many independent promotions like CZW and wXw.
Callihan is currently signed to MLW and TNA but could soon make the move to AEW. A few days ago, Attorney Mike Dockins, who handles wrestlers' trademark filings, shared a picture with Moxley who was holding a trademark certificate for "Switchblade Conspiracy." This could mean he is planning to revive his old tag team duo in AEW.
