Jon Moxley to return and immediately cause a massive upset on AEW Collision? Looking at the chances
After a hiatus lasting over a month, could Jon Moxley return and shock the world with an upset, bearing possible major repercussions tomorrow on AEW Collision? This would be through him beating Swerve Strickland.
Following his loss against Tetsuya Naito at Forbidden Door, Mox has not been seen in the promotion. Reports have revealed that he has been granted some time off. He has also not been seen backstage in any capacity at any of the recent shows.
Tony Khan has announced that Swerve Strickland will be at Collision tomorrow night in an Open Challenge Eliminator match. Jon Moxley could emerge as the surprise challenger, seeing as Swerve has been picking a fight with two of his BCC comrades. The world champion faces Bryan Danielson at All In, and Wheeler Yuta next week on Dynamite.
Mox could shock the world by suddenly winning a earning a future title shot for himself in the process, which could affect the match at All In. He could insert himself into this match. But seeing how great Swerve has been as of late, it may be unlikely that he ends up losing this open challenge, as could just be another warmup match for his big bout against Bryan Danielson.
Renee Paquette posts recent update featuring Jon Moxley
Jon Moxley has not been one who's high-profile with his private life. Since the beginning of his hiatus in early July, not a peep has been heard from the former AEW World Champion.
His wife Renee Paquette was the one who gave an update, as she shared photos of the two of them on her Instagram during his time off. The backdrop of the photo showed them to be in Cincinnati, Ohio, which is Mox's hometown and where the two reside currently.
Being one of AEW's top stars since the promotion's beginning, Jon Moxley is someone whom many fans are looking forward to see at All In. But with him still being absent from the promotion with only two weeks to go, it remains to be seen if he'll be part of any impromptu matches at the pay-per-view or if he could miss this year's edition of the show entirely.
