Jon Moxley's secret ally; 4-time champion? 5 Former WWE Superstars who could debut at AEW Worlds End 2024

AEW Worlds End is set to take place in Orlando, Florida, on December 28, 2024. The company's last pay-per-view, Full Gear, was regarded as a great event but fell short of fans' expectations. The promotion has highly raised the bar when it comes to PPVs since its inception. Compelling storylines and surprises are always a part of the AEW events, but Full Gear lacked some of the components.

Tony Khan would probably pack Worlds End 2024 with massive returns and debuts, as AEW will be showcased on the MAX platform from January 2025. Currently, Jon Moxley's AEW World Championship looks in a lot of jeopardy as Jay White, Hangman Page, Orange Cassidy, and Christian Cage are after the title. As of now, no matches are made official for the last event of the year.

Tony Khan could sign a few former WWE stars, as many wrestlers have been released by the Stamford-based promotion this year. Also, many of them didn't renew their deal and left the company. This year, Bobby Lashley, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and Ricochet arrived in the Jacksonville-based promotion and have been featured on shows almost every week.

Let's take a look at some of the former WWE stars who could debut at Worlds End 2024:

#5. #4. & #3. Raj Dhesi (FKA Jinder Mahal), Veer Mahaan, and Sanga could dominate AEW

The Modern Day Maharaja was released from the Stamford-based promotion in April 2024. After being inactive for a lengthy period, the erstwhile Jinder Mahal received the spotlight earlier this year, as he worked a segment with The Rock and later challenged Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Title. Dhesi is a one-time WWE Champion, a one-time US Champion, and a two-time 24/7 Champion.

He was also involved in a banter with Tony Khan on X (formerly called Twitter). Along with the four-time WWE champion, his teammates, Veer Mahaan and Sanga, were also released by the Sports Entertainment juggernaut.

The Jacksonville-based promotion could use a fresh team for its Trios division. While The Maharaja currently wrestles as Raj Dhesi in independent promotions, Veer and Sanga are currently inactive. They could debut at the Worlds End pay-per-view.

#2. Baron Corbin

The erstwhile Lone Wolf revived his career after returning to NXT. He had a mediocre run on the main roster. The 40-year-old was aligned with Bron Breakker, and the duo had an excellent run as NXT Tag Team Champions. In April 2024, Baron Corbin was drafted to SmackDown, but WWE didn't utilize him.

Later in November, the erstwhile King Corbin was released from the company after his contract expired. Baron could be a great booster for the mid-card scene in Tony Khan's company and could start a new rivalry by debuting at the Worlds End PPV.

#1. Shane McMahon

Shane McMahon has been speculated to join AEW for a long period. He had a meeting with Tony Khan earlier this year. This led to the belief that The Prodigal Son would eventually become All Elite. However, no report regarding his AEW signing has since surfaced.

At Worlds End 2023, fans were left shocked after Adam Cole was revealed as The Devil. The upcoming edition can become even more memorable if Shane O'Mac makes his much-awaited debut. He could easily be fit as Jon Moxley's ally and the mastermind behind The Death Riders.

It will be interesting to see who is featured on the card and if any former WWE star pays a visit at AEW Worlds End 2024.
