Karrion Kross to leave WWE following contract expiry? - 3 stars who could replace Malakai Black as the leader of House of Black if he leaves AEW

Malakai Black is one of the most enigmatic wrestlers in the business and has been great as the leader of the House of Black. This is despite the fact that he has not been booked as a singles star.

He has not let that affect him and has led the group with great aplomb. Under his leadership, the House of Black has become a feared faction, and they are a group that is not to be messed with.

Some sources have claimed that Malakai Black’s contract goes on until the end of the year. However, there is a bit of confusion with Tony Khan saying in 2022 that he had five more years left on his contract. Regardless of that, in this article, we will take a look at three stars who could replace Malakai as the leader of the House of Black if he leaves AEW.

#3. Karrion Kross

Karrion Kross is an interesting name. He had a great run in NXT and was also NXT Champion. He was then moved to the main roster and failed to replicate that success, which later led to his release in 2021. He returned in 2022 and has been on the periphery since.

When his deal does expire, the prospect of taking over as the leader of the House of Black could be an enticing one. Given that, like Malakai Black, Kross has a dark side to his persona, he might be able to make a smooth transition into AEW.

#2. PAC

PAC is a wrestler who can effortlessly move between being a babyface and a heel. He is a perfect tweener, and that sits right at home when you want to be involved with the House of Black.

That and the fact that the Lucha Bros are reported to be leaving AEW will leave him with no one to lean on. Becoming the leader of the House of Black could add yet another layer to him and give him a new lease on life—and potentially a run in the main event scene.

#1. Adam Copeland to replace Malakai Black

This is totally out of left field, but Adam Copeland is the perfect candidate to one day take over from Malakai Black as the leader of the House of Black. Copeland unfortunately got injured in his match against Malakai at Double or Nothing 2024.

The former WWE star has some experience leading a group like the House of Black as he helped create the Judgment Day. During his months-long feud against Malakai, there were instances where he showed his dark side, and that makes him the perfect candidate to take over.
