Major AEW star to go on a hiatus because of Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson? Exploring the possibility
A current champion in AEW could go on a hiatus due to the ongoing problems between Jon Moxley and current World Champion Bryan Danielson. The star could play a key role in the storyline.
The AEW star in question is none other than Wheeler Yuta. The 27-year-old star is currently the World Trios Champion along with Claudio Castagnoli and PAC. After the events at the recent All Out pay-per-view, Blackpool Combat Club seems to be no longer a thing.
At All Out, Claudio and Jon Moxley shockingly turned on Bryan Danielson, leaving Wheeler Yuta confused. The Decoder was forced to watch the assault by PAC as The Purveyor of Violence tried to suffocate The American Dragon with a plastic bag.
In the past few weeks, Wheeler Yuta has shown his concern regarding Danielson's health, which suggests he could remain loyal to the former WWE Champion. However, Yuta is currently the Trios Champion along with Claudio Castagnoli and PAC.
Overall, it is a conflicting situation for the 27-year-old, and he could decide to go on a hiatus instead of joining forces with Jon Moxley or Bryan Danielson. However, the angle is speculative at this point.
Jon Moxley is set for a major match at AEW Grand Slam 2024
On Dynamite following All Out 2024, the erstwhile Dean Ambrose confronted Darby Allin and asked him to hand over the latter's AEW World Title shot. Notably, the former World Tag Team Champion became the number-one contender after winning the Royal Rampage Match on the July 24 edition of Rampage.
Although Darby Allin refused to hand over the title shot to The Deathrider, he agreed to put his number one contender's spot on the line in a singles match. The encounter will take place on Dynamite: Grand Slam this Wednesday.
It will be interesting to see if Moxley manages to capture the AEW World Title shot from Darby Allin this Wednesday.
