Major star to debut in WWE and immediately attack Rey Mysterio on RAW? Exploring the possibility
WWE recently hinted at the arrival of a major star in the promotion. The star could immediately attack Rey Mysterio upon his debut to make an impact. Former AEW star Pentagón Jr. is rumored to join the Stamford-based promotion next month.
The December 16 episode of Monday Night RAW featured a mysterios vignette. Many are predicting that it teased Penta's WWE debut on RAW's Netflix premiere, which will happen on January 6, 2025.
The WWE Universe is excited to see Penta El Zero Miedo join the Triple H roster. Upon his arrival in the company, he could immediately target Rey Mysterio. Going after the legendary Luchador would guarantee an instant and massive impact on the locker room. Plus, a rivalry against one of the best Luchadors in pro wrestling history would be a good way to kick off Penta's WWE career.
The 39-year-old star last wrestled in AEW in August this year. His contract with the company expired in November, after which he parted ways with the promotion. He is currently a free agent in the pro wrestling market.
Rey Mysterio was blamed for the cancellation of a segment on RAW
The New Day's Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods were advertised for this week's WWE RAW episode but never showed up. Later in a tweet, Kofi explained why he and his tag team partner never made it to their RAW segment. He blamed Rey Mysterio and stated that the WWE Hall of Famer didn't let them use the locker room to change their outfits.
During their 10th-anniversary celebration on the December 2nd, 2024, episode of WWE RAW, The New Day shockingly betrayed Big E, thus turning heels in the process.
E suffered a broken neck during a tag team match on the March 11, 2022, edition of Friday Night SmackDown. He has been on a hiatus since then. When he returned on RAW a couple of weeks ago, Kingston and Woods lashed out at the former WWE Champion for abandoning them and kicked him out of the stable.
