Major WWE Superstars to leave the company due to backstage frustration and join AEW? Looking at the possibility

Two major WWE Superstars have seemingly been dealing with backstage frustration. Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins have been partners since 2016. They are one of the top tag teams in the promotion but have very few accolades under their belts.

In a recent interview with Daily Mail, Montez Ford voiced his discontentment with his booking in the global juggernaut. Earlier, Bianca Belair even hinted at the former RAW Tag Team Champion's desire to embark on a solo run after possibly parting ways with Dawkins. Considering these factors, Ford could leave WWE and join AEW to make a name for himself in the singles division.

Ford's WWE contract is rumored to expire in December 2024. Hence, he could depart from the company and sign with All Elite Wrestling. If The Street Profits wish to continue their tag team run, Dawkins could also join his long-time teammate in the Tony Khan-led promotion.

It was reported that the duo signed their respective contracts around the same time, meaning Dawkins could leave the global juggernaut at the same time as Ford. Upon their potential arrival, the tandem could also align themselves with their former Pride stablemate, Bobby Lashley. The All Mighty debuted on the October 30 edition of Dynamite and joined The Hurt Syndicate.

Angelo Dawkins teases heel turn in WWE

A few hours ago, Angelo Dawkins took to X/Twitter to seemingly tease his heel turn. Dawkins tweeted that he was sick of the "disrespect."

"Tired of the disrespect."

There could be many different reasons why Dawkins posted the tweet. He could be referring to the Street Profits' booking in the global juggernaut. Otherwise, he could be unhappy about The Motor City Machine Guns winning the WWE Tag Team Championship within a month of their debut. However, this is mere speculation, and nothing is confirmed.

Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin beat The Bloodline (Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa) on the October 25, 2024, episode of SmackDown in Brooklyn, New York, to become the new Tag Team Champions. Meanwhile, the Street Profits haven't held championship gold since 2021.
