The current AEW TBS Champion, Mercedes Mone (fka Sasha Banks) could lose her title to a rising female star. Mone is slated to defend her title against the said star in a few weeks.

The 26-year-old star in the discussion is none other than Anna Jay. Anna has been signed to All Elite Wrestling since 2020 and continues to be a rising star. Lately, Jay has been quite impressive in the ring ever since returning from Japan where she competed in the STARDOM promotion.

The CEO recently challenged Mariah May for the AEW Women's World Title but failed to win on two consecutive occasions. Nonetheless, Anna Jay regained the momentum with multiple recent wins and is slated to challenge Mercedes Mone for the TBS Championship at Dynamite: Holiday Bash on December 18.

While Anna Jay is unlikely to dethrone the Mone as the TBS Champion, AEW could pull a major twist by giving Jay a surprising title win. Mercedes can also be protected if she loses due to a distraction from her former bodyguard Kamille. The 32-year-old shockingly cut ties with Mone on Dynamite.

On AEW Rampage last week, Mercedes Mone hinted at going after more championship Gold seemingly targeting the current AEW Women's World Champion Mariah May. The Glamour recently made a tweet and took a shot at The CEO:

"There are certain things money can’t buy…" wrote May.

Moreover, it seems the TBS and the NJPW Strong Women's Champion will be going after the AEW Women's World Champion Mariah May soon. Only time will tell when the two top champions will lock horns.
