Mercedes Mone to fire Kamille and replace her with released WWE Superstar in AEW? Analyzing the possibility

AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone aligned herself with former NWA star Kamille; however, tensions are rising between the duo. The CEO could replace Kamille with a debuting Indi Hartwell who WWE recently released.

It was recently reported that besides Indi Hartwell, WWE also released Tegan Nox and Baron Corbin from their contracts. The news came as a shocker to many as Indi has been a part of a tag team with Candice LeRae and seemed to be having a promising run after becoming NXT Women's Champion. The Australian star could show up in AEW after her 90-day no-compete clause expires and get involved in a major storyline.

On the recent edition of AEW Dynamite, Kris Statlander handed Kamille her first singles loss since her All Elite debut. After the match, Mercedes Mone was not happy with her ally and ordered her to go to the back. The rising tensions between the two could culminate with Mercedes bringing Indi Hartwell to All Elite Wrestling and replacing Kamille with the former NXT Women's Champion.

AEW's Mercedes Mone recalls how the Women's Tag Team Championships were introduced in WWE

Despite receiving criticism over the years, WWE has managed to book its women's tag team division decently. The promotion had two sets of tag titles for female stars, the NXT Women's Tag Team Title and WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. However, the NXT Title was later merged with the main roster title.

In a recent edition of the Mone Mag newsletter, Mercedes Mone recalled how she and Bayley worked hard to get the Women's Tag Team Championship introduced in the Stamford-based promotion. The AEW TBS Champion revealed that after watching herself, Bayley, and Natalya take on The Riott Squad at WWE Evolution PLE, Triple H promised her that there would be a Women's Tag Title in the promotion.

"It was so important to me, I just wanted to show him and the audience that tag team wrestling was important. I wanted them to see that it mattered, so girls had something to fight for instead of just random Monday Night RAW or SmackDown matches. This match really opened the eyes of the WWE. We wanted tag team titles to be brought into existence. Later that year, I believe in December, Vince McMahon announced that we would get a women’s tag team title, which was so cool," she added. Before leaving WWE, Mercedes Mone forfeited her WWE Women's Tag Team Championship alongside Naomi. It will be interesting to see if she returns to the promotion after her AEW run.
