Mercedes Moné to unveil ex-WWE star as her new henchwoman at AEW Full Gear? Looking at the chances
Mercedes Mone's reign as AEW TBS Champion has been dominant so far. Even though she made her debut in the Jacksonville-based company earlier this year, The CEO has undoubtedly become one of Tony Khan's biggest assets. The 32-year-old is currently in an alliance with The Brickhouse Kamille. The partnership between Mone and Kamille was quite strong at the start. However, in recent weeks, this relationship has seemingly taken a hit.
Earlier this month, the former NWA World Women's Champion let the erstwhile Sasha Banks down when she lost a singles match against Kris Statlander. Furthermore, The CEO was seen misbehaving with her henchwoman. There are several indications that this alliance has run its course. Additionally, there is a possibility that at Full Gear, the TBS Champion might replace The Brickhouse with former WWE Superstar Indi Hartwell. The Melbourne-born star was released by the Stamford-based company earlier this month.
At Full Gear 2024, Statlander is scheduled to lock horns with Mone for the TBS Championship. A mistake by Kamille might lead to Statlander beating The CEO and becoming the new champion. A frustrated Mone might then fire her henchwoman and introduce Hartwell as her new ally. The Australian could blindside The Brickhouse after the match and officially align with Mercedes.
That said, the angle is speculative at this point.
Kris Statlander is ready to do "anything and everything" to dethrone Mercedes Mone
In the latest episode of AEW Collision, The Galaxy's Greatest Alien cut a backstage promo. Statlander stated that she would leave no stone unturned to end Mercedes Mone's TBS Title reign.
"Anything and everything. Look, Mercedes Mone; she is one of the best. She will do anything that she can to win, and she is most dangerous when she has her back against the wall, which is exactly where it is, because everything that she has tried hasn't worked. I am still standing, and I am gonna be the one standing tall at Full Gear when I become the new TBS Champion,” she said. [0:23-0:48]
If Kris Statlander defeats The CEO at Full Gear, the 29-year-old will become a two-time TBS Champion.
