New leader of The Hurt Syndicate, Two WWE veterans to debut as heels? - 4 Things that could happen following MVP’s AEW debut

Earlier tonight, MVP made his surprise AEW debut as he interrupted Prince Nana who was giving an update on Swerve Strickland. MVP, till recently, was signed with WWE.

Before tonight, there was no concrete information on him making an appearance, but the veteran, along with the former members of The Hurt Business, have seemingly been in contact with the promotion.

MVP has hinted at wanting to be Swerve Strickland's new manager, as he felt that Prince Nana has done a lackluster job at managing him. What could be next for him in his time with AEW?

#1. Become Swerve Strickland's manager

Before he left, MVP handed his business card to Prince Nana, as he wanted him to pass this on to Swerve Strickland.

Swerve has already reacted to this, but it remains to be seen what goes down. With the former AEW World Champion being the type to do whatever it takes to be at the top, there is a real chance he will accept this offer. Seeing the former WWE veteran's resumé as a manager could sway him.

This could leave Prince Nana without a job, but in this case, Swerve could keep him close to him, seeing as Nana has been the only one who has stood by him through his ups and downs. But there is a real chance that he turns on him, as he will be focused on his goal to rise back to the top.

#2. MVP builds The Hurt Syndicate around Swerve

Should MVP and Swerve Strickland form a partnership, the veteran may use him as the cornerstone of a new faction.

This could be the debut of The Hurt Syndicate. Previously, the veteran had built The Hurt Business around Bobby Lashley and he may do the same with Swerve, who claims he is the most phenomenal talent to ever step foot in an AEW ring.

Having a manager like MVP might be what Swerve needs as he meticulously chooses who to include in the faction he manages.

#3. Bring in two big names to the faction

After forming a partnership with Swerve Strickland, the former WWE veteran will surely need to look for more worthy stars to pair up with him.

One of his first candidates will surely be someone who he has trust in, and this could be Shelton Benjamin. Apart from his run in WWE, Shelton had a brief run in NJPW, and he may have the tools and skills that would fit in The Hurt Syndicate.

Another star who he could bring in would be EJ Nduka. The 6-foot 8-inch star already has experience working with Swerve as he was spotted as part of his entourage a few months ago. Adding someone with size and power will be crucial for the faction, and MVP does not need to look far. He has also been compared to the likes of The Rock.

These two would be perfect stars to add to a faction built around the former AEW World Champion.

#4. Cast Swerve aside for the arrival of Bobby Lashley

In an interesting turn of events, MVP's offer could be a ruse and he could just be preparing for the arrival of an event bigger star, which in this case would be Bobby Lashley.

The All-Mighty has also been linked to the promotion, as all three former members of The Hurt Business have reportedly been in talks with AEW. They are all free agents currently and have spoken of possibly reuniting at some point.

This would mean that the group would cast aside Swerve Strickland, similar to what The Mogul Embassy did to him. Prince Nana may once more be left as the only ally Swerve has as they could begin a feud with Lashley and The Hurt Syndicate.

No one knows for sure when a potential timeline of these events will take place, but with Swerve set to make an appearance ahead of WrestleDream, the ball could get rolling as soon as next week. It remains to be seen what other surprises may be in store in this developing storyline.
