New members, World title rivalry - 4 scenarios in a possible AEW feud between The Hurt Syndicate and Jon Moxley's faction
AEW is the home to numerous factions with different ideologies. However, Jon Moxley and his stable are currently the most dominating. Apart from the reigning AEW World Champion, this group consists of Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, and PAC.
One of AEW's new and rising factions is The Hurt Syndicate, consisting of MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin for now. This stable was known as The Hurt Business in the WWE, and there, they were immensely successful. Lashley held the WWE Championship twice and the WWE United States Championship once. Furthermore, Benjamin won the WWE RAW Tag Team Championship once (with Cedric Alexander.)
Currently, the Blackpool Combat Club is in a rivalry with The Conglomoration's Orange Cassedy. Meanwhile, The Hurt Syndicate is in a captivating feud with Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana. Nevertheless, the two factions will probably come face to face in the future.
Here are 3 scenarios in a possible feud between The Hurt Syndicate and Jon Moxley's faction in All Elite Wrestling.
#4. To even the odds, The Hurt Syndicate will recruit AEW's Mercedes Moné and Ricochet
The Hurt Syndicate syndicate currently has three members while The Blackpool Combat has five. Furthermore, one of them, Marina Shafir, is female. For equal competition, MVP needs to recruit new members. It is safe to say that he certainly has something in mind to expand the faction.
MVP has already shown an interest in hiring TBS Champion Mercedes Moné and former WWE Intercontinental Champion, Ricochet. Like all TBS members, they too are former WWE stars and are immensely talented. They will fit right in. Even if Mone and Ricochet don't join them, MVP will bring in worthy candidates.
#3. & #2. AEW World Trios Championship feud or Blood and Guts match
The World Trios Championships is currently held by Yuta, PAC, and Castagnoli. Their reign has been dominant so far, but it will be interesting if The Hurt Syndicate comes for their titles. Even though MVP is predominantly a manager now, fans are well aware that he is a former WWE United States Champion and a quite skilled wrestler. Porter, Benjamin, and Lashley would certainly make amazing World Trios Champions.
Another interesting showdown between THS and BCC could be in a Blood and Guts match. Traditionally, this stipulation is contested between eight competitors, with four in each team. To balance the equation, MVP could add Bryan Danielson to their team. This would make a very captivating story.
#1. Bobby Lashley vs. Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship
An AEW World Championship match between Bobby Lashley and Jon Moxley is money. Tony Khan will certainly consider booking it, but it would be a treat for fans if he books it as soon as possible.
This match can take place at the much-awaited Wrestle Dynasty pay-per-view, which will take place on January 5, 2025, in Tokyo, Japan. Their showdown could even main event of this show, and if Lashley wins the title, it will look very good on him and the newly arrived revamped stable.
