10-time WWE champion claims she took the leaked picture of Shane McMahon and Tony Khan
A leaked picture of AEW President and CEO Tony Khan and Shane McMahon has been doing the rounds online. Meanwhile, a former WWE champion has claimed to have taken that picture.
The star in question is Mercedes Mone. The 32-year-old is a five-time RAW Women's Champion, a one-time SmackDown Women's Champion, a three-time Women's Tag Team Champion, and a one-time NXT Women's Champion. One of the biggest news stories of this year was Shane McMahon's rumored interest in AEW. However, that doesn't seem to be a rumor anymore.
It was recently reported that Shane and Tony Khan had a private meeting in an office at a private Arlington airport on July 29, 2024. However, the details of that meeting have yet to be disclosed. After the news broke, a leaked photo featuring Shane and the AEW CEO in a meeting room went viral on social media, and several people have commented on it.
Meanwhile, reigning AEW TBS Champion and NJPW Strong Women's Champion Mercedes Mone took to her Twitter (X) account to claim that she took the picture.
"Lol, I took that pic," Mercedes wrote.

Given Shane McMahon's long-standing history with WWE and the fact that it was once owned by his father Vince McMahon, the thought of The Prodigal Son in another promotion seems almost surreal.
But it may not be long before we see the 54-year-old in the Jacksonville-based promotion. Meanwhile, according to a report from Wrestlevotes, a long-time WWE employee stated that he was not surprised to hear about Shane taking a preliminary meeting with Tony Khan, given that the former Hardcore Champion was a smart businessman.
Shane joining All Elite Wrestling will send shockwaves through the entire wrestling industry. However, it remains to be seen what sort of role The Prodigal Son will play in the Tony Khan-led promotion if he becomes All Elite.
