2-time WWE Heavyweight Champion teases blockbuster debut by confronting Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho is the current ROH World Champion and is set to make an appearance at Ring of Honor. Meanshile, a former WWE Champion has teased that he could confront Jericho.

Nic Nemeth wrestled for WWE for several years under the ring name Dolph Ziggler. During this time, he was one of the most consistent performers in the squared circle although he was never treated like a top star. Nemeth eventually broke through the glass ceiling and won the World Heavyweight Championship twice. However, the last few years of his run were disappointing and he was released from the company in 2023.

Following his departure, Nemeth has wrestled prominently for TNA Wrestling and he is yet to compete in AEW or ROH. However, that might change soon. Chris Jericho is set to host his TV Time with The Learning Tree on ROH television tonight. Matt Cardona had teased that he has his eyes on this segment. But Nic Nemeth seemed more interested, teasing a confrontation with the wrestling legend.

Matt Hardy gave his brutal thoughts on Chris Jericho's current AEW run

Chris Jericho was the first-ever AEW World Champion and has been a regular feature on TV for the past few years. He has constantly managed to evolve and adapt to the changing landscape of pro wrestling. However, it appears that fans have grown tired of watching the wrestling legend every week on television and have also urged him to retire from the business.

Speaking on his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt compared Jericho's situation to the one he and his brother Jeff Hardy faced before. He said that the live crowd has always been great to them but the online feedback tells a different story as some of the die-hard fans can be hyper-critical.

"I get that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but he’s in a bit of a tricky spot since some fans want him to retire. Jeff and I have been in a similar position before. The live crowds were always great for us—every single time we went out there, they were into us. There was never a night where we got booed or the crowd was quiet. It was amazing. With Chris, though, you see the online feedback, and it’s similar to what we experienced. The die-hard fans online can be hyper-critical,” he said. [H/T: Ringside News]

It will be interesting to see if Nic Nemeth will show up in ROH and confront Chris Jericho tonight.
