22-year veteran announces his in-ring retirement from AEW

A 22-year veteran has announced his unexpected in-ring retirement from AEW. This name was a big presence on the independent circuit. The veteran in question is referee Bryce Remsburg.

Remsburg got into the refereeing business in 2002 and signed with Chikara in 2003. He worked with them until 2020 before moving to All Elite Wrestling.

Taking to X/Twitter, he announced his retirement and it was something that the fans did not see coming. He did that by replying to a video of him giving a double stunner to The Outrunners.

“Retiring undefeated. Thanks for the love, Lehigh Valley. Last night and for the last 22 years. ❤️”

This was, of course, a tongue-in-cheek comment, and it does not mean that he will be retiring as a referee but as an in-ring wrestler.

Tony Khan responds to criticism of low AEW ratings

Tony Khan is someone who dearly loves his company and does not take kindly to criticism. There has been a lot of chatter about the low ratings of his product, and it seems to have finally gotten to him.

A fan took to X/Twitter to call out the All Elite President and asked him not to pretend that things are good when the ratings are as low as they are. Tony took exception to that and hit back, saying:

"Yes Derek, speaking of 1 year and shocking, I was also thrilled when the 1 year anniversary Saturday Night #AEWCollision beat UFC head-to-head, 7 days ago. What a great way to celebrate 1 year of @AEW on Saturday Nights on TNT!"

It will be interesting to see what kind of matches he will cook up for his fans as the Forbidden Door pay-per-view is right around the corner, and the fans will be expecting some fireworks, given that NJPW will also be involved.
