32-year-old star makes surprise AEW debut, is MJF's former partner

MJF's former partner recently made his surprise debut in AEW. Richard Holliday had his first match in Tony Khan's promotion on this week's edition of Friday Night Rampage.

The 32-year-old and Maxwell Jacob Friedman have previously worked in tandem in Major League Wrestling, where they won the MLW World Tag Team Championship. The two allied in February 2019, forming The Dynasty, and feuded with The Hart Foundation.

On the November 15 edition of Rampage (taped on November 13), Richard Holliday made his AEW debut, as he teamed up with Alec Price to take La Faccion Ingobernable in a tag team match. Rush and The Beast Mortos picked up the victory, with the former securing the win for his team with a Bull's Horns.

Holliday is famous for his time in Major League Wrestling. He hasn't wrestled for the promotion since March 2024. The last match he had in MLW was at MLW War Chamber 2024 on March 29, when he participated in the War Chamber Match.

CozyMAX (Okumura and Satoshi Kojima) and The Second Gear Crew (1 Called Manders and Matthew Justice) defeated the World Titan Federation (Davey Boy Smith Jr., Josh Bishop, Richard Holliday, and Tom Lawlor).

MJF is slated to face Roderick Strong at Full Gear

Roderick Strong and Adam Cole had the opportunity to earn themselves a match against MJF at Full Gear. They had to win three consecutive singles matches to earn a match against The Salt of The Earth.

Roderick defeated Shane Taylor, The Beast Mortos, and Lance Archer to punch his ticket to the upcoming pay-per-view. Meanwhile, Cole could only pick up victories against Buddy Matthews and Malakai Black. He lost to Konosuke Takeshita on this week's Dynamite, losing the chance to face the former AEW World Champion at Full Gear.

Thus, Roderick Strong will take on MJF in a singles match at the event, which will emanate from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on November 23, 2024.
