33-year-old star will win the AEW World Championship from Samoa Joe, says former champion (Exclusive)
A former champion believes that a top All Elite Wrestling star will win the AEW World Championship from Samoa Joe.
Swerve Strickland has been having the best year of his career thus far in AEW. After a heated rivalry with Hangman Adam Page that lasted several months, Swerve has found himself in the main event scene and is all set to challenge for the AEW World Championship at Dynasty against Samoa Joe. Swerve is one of the fan favorites heading into the match.
Strickland's current stablemate Brian Cage recently had an interview with Sportskeeda's Senior Editor Bill Apter, where he claimed that Swerve Strickland will win the AEW World Championship from Joe.
"But that also means we're predicting that Swerve is going to lose.... Come on! Swerve is going to win.... I said to him, it's his house, but we live there too. Swerve is a phenomenal athlete, on the top of his game. Mega over right now! It's definitely his time. But you know, he's our guy, even if people legitimately thought Joe is going to win, I still got to go with Swerve because it's loyalty," said Cage. [2:16 - 2:54]

Brian Cage wants another match against Samoa Joe
Brian Cage is also one of the top athletes in the world of professional wrestling. He has been a part of AEW since his days in Team Taz. However, he is yet to win another title after his run as FTW Champion.
Cage had the chance to win the ROH TV Title when he faced Joe in 2022 but he came up short. During the same interview, Cage revealed that he wants another go at Joe.
"Samoa Joe and I had one encounter here in Baltimore. He and I had a one-on-one match. I would like another go with Joe because I felt like I get trolled about 90 percent of that matchup," he said. [From 01:48 to 02:03]
It will be interesting to see if Cage's prediction comes true at AEW Dynasty and Swerve Strickland walks out the new AEW World Champion after defeating Samoa Joe.
