34-year-old AEW star wants Bryan Danielson to announce his "retirement" from wrestling
Bryan Danielson is preparing for his last ride as a full-time wrestling talent, and he's scheduled to speak to the audience next Wednesday on AEW Dynamite. One of The American Dragon's biggest haters, The Acclaimed's Max Caster, revealed today that he hopes Danielson will officially announce his retirement.
Bryan Danielson won this year's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, giving him a shot at the AEW World Championship at All In next month. The 43-year-old had already revealed that this would be his final year as a full-time competitor, and with his All Elite contract winding down, this could be The American Dragon's final shot at glory.
The former WWE Champion recently revealed that he had something to say to the AEW faithful on the upcoming edition of Wednesday Night Dynamite. When the company advertised the segment, Max Caster took to X/Twitter with a prayer that it would be Danielson's retirement announcement:
"Retirement announcement 🙏🙏🙏," the 34-year-star wrote.
AEW's Max Caster is celebrating Bryan Danielson's upcoming retirement
It's unclear how active Bryan Danielson will be once he steps down from full-time competition, but in any case, The Acclaimed's Max Caster will be glad to see less of the 43-year-old.
Danielson was part of the disciplinary committee that recommended CM Punk's termination after All In last year. Since then, there have been jokes about The American Dragon handing out fines backstage.
Few have gotten into more hot water in AEW than Max Caster, who has been allegedly suspended multiple times. When it was revealed that Danielson's current contract expires on August 1, Platinum Max took to X/Twitter with a harsh goodbye:
"GOODBYE!!! [middle finger emoji] No more fines!!! [devil-face emoji],"wrote Caster.
Danielson is set to face Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship at Wembley Stadium on August 25. Whether the veteran can finally get his hands on the world title for one last run on top remains to be seen.
