4-time WWE champion CONFIRMS shocking heel turn on AEW Collision
A four-time WWE champion has seemingly confirmed his heel turn on AEW Collision. This was something that fans seemingly did not see coming.
Ricochet has been on the receiving end of some criticism from fans for his segment with The Hurt Syndicate on the latest edition of AEW Dynamite. On the back of it, he took on Will Ospreay as part of the Continental Classic on this week's Collision.
The match started well with both stars executing high-octane moves. Ricochet seemed like he had one up over Ospreay as he looked in control of the showdown. However, that did not last long as The Aerial Assassin hit a Styles Clash for a near fall.
As the match was entering the final stretch, Ospreay was perched on the top rope aiming to hit Ricochet with a finisher, but his opponent accidentally kicked the referee onto the ropes. This made Ospreay land awkwardly and allowed Ricochet to take advantage of the opening.
The Human Highlight Reel immediately hit Will Ospreay with his finisher to pick up the win and rack up nine points on the table. Considering that the former WWE star was willing to go to any length to win, he has more or less confirmed his heel turn. It will be interesting to watch how the storyline will shape up with Worlds End only a week away.
Ricochet held the United States, Intercontinental, Speed, and NXT North American titles in WWE. Will he capture an AEW championship in the coming days? Only time will tell.
