4-time WWE champion may have quietly turned babyface after heartbreaking loss
Earlier tonight, a former WWE Superstar may have hinted at turning babyface after his gestures following a tough loss on AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam. This would be Roderick Strong.
Strong has been a heel for most of the year as part of the Undisputed Kingdom. This was also the case when heading into his match against Hook for the FTW Championship.
Despite having the numbers advantage in a match with FTW Rules, the champion ended up retaining the title, with the former WWE NXT North American Champion tapping out to the Redrum submission hold.
After the match, Roderick Strong walked up to Hook. While it seemed he was going for a post-match attack following his heartbreaking loss, he went for a handshake. The two shared a brief moment of respect following their high-action contest.
This was an uncharacteristic move from Strong, as the four-time WWE champion has been one of the more ruthless heels on the roster. It remains to be seen whether this will be the start of a change in direction for the Undisputed Kingdom.
The faction is currently without its leader and its muscle, as Adam Cole and Wardlow are still out of action.
