6ft 1in AEW star gives a major update amid rumors of imminent return

A 6ft 1in AEW star has been absent from TV for a while now but they're rumored to return soon. This star in question is Powerhouse Hobbs.

The 33-year-old has been a staple in Tony Khan's roster since he joined in 2020. Hobbs is a prominent talent who gets featured on weekly shows regularly. However, he's been missing from TV for some time owing to an injury.

In April 2024, Powerhouse Hobbs unsuccessfully challenged Jon Moxley for the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion. Not only did he lose the bout, but also suffered a knee injury.

It was recently reported that Hobbs is cleared for in-ring action. Speaking in an interview with Baby Huey on In The Kliq, Powerhouse Hobbs stated that he's ready to return to the ring.

"Ruptured my patellar tendon. A pretty gruesome injury," he said. "Me being me, I've been cleared. Healed up pretty fast. Got that Wolverine serum in me a little bit. I'm cleared. I'm back. It's already been put out in the internet world that I'm cleared. Time to pick up where I left off." [H/T: Fightful]
