6ft 6in WWE legend cancels major appearance ahead of AEW Collision return
A certain WWE legend has announced that he would be missing an event he was scheduled to be with after being announced as a part of AEW Collision's match card. This would be Dustin Rhodes.
The former WWE Intercontinental Champion In has not been seen on the promotion since April when he faced off against Samoa Joe in an eliminator match for the world championship. Despite a great fight, he was unsuccessful and has not been seen on the promotion since.
On Twitter, Dustin Rhodes apologized as he needed to cancel his appearance at this year's Niagara Falls Comic Con. He revealed that this was because he would be at AEW Collision. Earlier tonight on Rampage, it was revealed that that the 6ft 6in star will face off against Johnny TV (FKA John Morrison in WWE)
"Sorry to cancel Niagra Falls Comic Con. I am needed for @aew #AEWCollision," the veteran tweeted.
The former WWE Superstar recently talked about the five years of AEW
Two weeks ago, the Jacksonville-based promotion celebrated five years since its first-ever show, Double or Nothing, in 2019.
Ahead of this year's pay-per-view edition, Tony Khan talked about how that week was all about celebrating five years of All Elite Wrestling.
Dustin Rhodes replied to this and sent his message. He was part of the promotion's first-ever live show, facing off against Cody Rhodes in one of the most iconic matches in the company's short history.
"5 yrs!! Changed the business forever!! Some people fell back in love with pro wrestling because of @aew. Forever grateful and having the time of my life. Thank you #AEW Real fans."
Five years after their debut show, the promotion seems not to be slowing down anytime soon. They continue to provide weekly action for fans worldwide and showcase incredible moments to the wrestling world.
