7-time champion announces AEW return

A popular multi-time champion has hinted at her imminent AEW return, as she is looking to reunite with one of the top champions in the company. This would be Mina Shirakawa.

Mina has captured titles from across the globe. She currently stands as the RevPro British Women's Champion and has a long history of success in Japan. She has won a title in BBW and several in Stardom, but the spotlight has been on her due to the actions of her former tag team partner Mariah May.

Mariah recently said she wanted to reunite with Mina Shirakawa, and the latter has finally answered this invitation. The 36-year-old talked about Mariah's sudden change of demeanor and how this has caught her off guard. However, despite that, she claimed that she still missed her.

"I have not heard from you in months. I watched you win the AEW Women's World Championship at Wembley Stadium. And now, you say you want Mina? You have changed Mariah. I don't know if I like what you have become. But I still miss you."

She also mentioned that she could not forget their history with one another, so she was willing to come over and celebrate her title win. For several weeks now, The Glamour has hinted at a women's world title celebration for her, but Shirakawa was the missing piece.

"We've had so many good times together, and we could have even more. In my heart, I want Mariah. So, you want to celebrate? Do you really want Mina? Does AEW really want Mina? Well, get ready because Mina is coming."

Mina Shirakawa has been heartbroken by Mariah May's AEW heel turn

During the buildup for Forbidden Door in July, there was a constant love triangle between Mina, Mariah, and Toni Storm. In the end, Storm took the win over Mina Shirakawa, and she stepped down and allowed Mariah to remain with her.

However, following May's heel turn, it seems that Mina remains torn. She has been loyal to her former tag team partner but was also on good terms with Toni.

"I have not heard from Mariah. I have not spoken to Toni Storm. I'm so shocked and heartbroken by what happened. They were in love. I still love them both (...) I have not seen Mariah be so vicious and I have never seen Toni be so obsessed with revenge. I can't believe these are the same people (...) I just hope no one gets seriously hurt."

Mina Shirakawa has not chosen a side, but she was there at AEW All In in the audience to witness the war between the two. Now that all is over between them, it remains to be seen whether she goes back to Mariah May or turns away from her following her recent actions.
