75-year-old Ric Flair posts an unbelievable throwback clip after rumored AEW exit

The 16-time world champion Ric Flair recently posted a throwback video on social media after his reported AEW departure. The Nature Boy signed with the company last year.

It was recently reported that Ric Flair has officially departed from AEW after signing with the company last November. The news came as a shocker to many as Flair seemed to have had a great relationship with the promotion and was presented heavily on TV during Sting's retirement storyline. The veteran was last seen at the AEW Revolution pay-per-view in March.

On X/Twitter, Flair posted an impressive throwback clip from 2017 when he was 67, where The Nature Boy is performing a deadlift in the gym. The veteran also shared some inspiring words in the caption.

"Anything Is Possible If You Work Hard & Believe In Yourself! WOOOOO!"

Ric Flair on who he would like to see break his historic record

WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair currently holds the record for most WWE World Heavyweight title reigns alongside John Cena. The Nature Boy recently opened up on the topic and revealed who he'd like to break his record and become a 17-time world champion.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Flair praised John Cena and clarified that he's fine with WWE letting Cena break his record. However, he named his daughter Charlotte Flair as the star he wants to see surpass his 16 world title reigns.

"The honest to god truth, I think so much personally of John Cena. He’s one of those really great guys, in my opinion, and I’ve known a few. In a perfect world, it would be my daughter, which I think would be the biggest thing that could ever happen. I told her one time, 'You’d be as famous as Serena Williams if you broke that record. It’s been there for so long.' She didn’t like the comparison, but she’s as good an athlete as there is alive today. But if they do it with John, I’d have no problem. I’d be the first one to hit the ring and shake his hand," [H/T WrestleZone]

Ric Flair is now officially a free agent after reportedly parting ways with AEW. It will be interesting to see if Triple H brings back The Nature Boy under his regime of the Stamford-based promotion.
