9-time WWE champion reveals he has signed his final contract as a wrestler; Jim Ross reacts
The current AEW roster includes legendary names such as Cope, Chris Jericho, Jim Ross, Christian Cage, Billy Gunn, and more. Tony Khan has immense faith in these veterans, who most regularly feature in major feuds and storylines.
One of All Elite Wrestling's biggest names is Jeff Jarrett. The 57-year-old has wrestled in several promotions across the globe. In WWE, he achieved immense success by winning the NWA North American Championship once, the WWF European Championship once, the WWF Tag Team Championship once, and the WWF Intercontinental Championship a staggering six times. He joined the Tony Khan-led promotion in 2022. Recently, he signed his final contract as a pro wrestler with the company. Furthermore, he intends to be the AEW World Champion before hanging up his boots.
AEW commentator Jim Ross recently spoke about Double J's career decision on the latest episode of Grilling JR. He strongly wishes for the legend to leave the industry on a high note.
"If this is his last contract, I hope he goes out with a bang. He keeps reinventing himself, that's a good thing for pro wrestling. He's an established guy. He still can work. So, we'll see how that articulates down the field, as [Hank Stram] would say," said Ross. [H/T: Fightful]
Jim Ross is a huge Becky Lynch fan
Reports suggest that former Women's World Champion Becky Lynch has signed a new contract with WWE. Jim Ross, who is a huge fan of hers, is happy for her. Furthermore, he believes that The Man deserves to be paid well for the talent she possesses.
"She (Becky Lynch) is a seven-figure person, no doubt. And good for her. She is a friend. I helped get her started, and it wasn't a hard decision to cast your lot with her because she had a great work ethic and desired to be a star. So I'm a big fan of Becky Lynch," said the 73-year-old.
