Absent AEW star says he "is in hell," last seen in December 2023
AEW star Danhausen took to his Twitter/X account on Saturday (June 8) to share a cryptic post. The 33-year-old has been absent from AEW television for quite some time now.
Danhausen was last seen on AEW TV at the 2023 Worlds End PPV, where he participated in the AEW TNT Title Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Battle Royal. The match was won by Killswitch.
That said, a few hours ago, Very Nice Very Evil logged onto his X account to share that he was not having a good time.
"I am in hell!'' he posted.
Three hours later, Danhausen shared a follow-up post in which he informed his fans that he faced some issues during a flight journey.
Matt Camp reveals scrapped plans for AEW's Danhausen in WWE
Speaking on The Wrestling Matt podcast, former RAW Talk host Matt Camp revealed that he had plans for Danhausen to work with him in WWE. However, the plans couldn't materialize because he was under contract with Tony Khan's company.
"I wanted Danhausen to come work and do things with me and WWE. I had an entire pitch... He was under contract at that time. It never went anywhere, so I wasn't tampering or anything like that. But he was under contract; I think he was doing ROH stuff, whatever it might have been. [Shows a picture with Danhausen] This was September 2021. There's me and Danhausen in Connecticut. I reached out to him after he did the interview with Konnan," he revealed.
The former WWE analyst added:
"I thought he could bring a lot to the table. And I had this pitch to do a fashion show; it never went anywhere because we could not get him. But I wanted to do a fashion show with Danhausen, Kayla [Braxton], Dalton Castle, and RJ City as the judges, judging like wrestling gear. It might have been a one-off. I don't know what it would have been!" (00:55-02:35)
Very Nice Very Evil joined the Jacksonville-based promotion in 2022. He made his debut on a special episode of Dynamite called Beach Break on January 26, 2022.
