Adam Cole makes major statement on Jon Moxley amid his hostile takeover of AEW
Jon Moxley and the Death Riders have put the AEW locker room on notice in recent months. Adam Cole has recently given his thoughts on the situation.
AEW has been under the control of Jon Moxley and the Death Riders for the last few months. Mox and his crew have done whatever they please with the intention of bringing about change in the company. While most of the locker room has tried to keep away from the Death Riders, there are a select few that have stood up to them in recent weeks.
Orange Cassidy, Darby Allin, Jay White, Hangman Page, and FTR have all stood up to Mox and the Death Riders. However, the heel group just grows stronger with each day. Even the EVPs aren't around to question Moxley's actions and as a result, they can get away with pretty much anything as long as he remains the World Champion.
Adam Cole, who has not had any run-ins with the Death Riders yet, spoke about Moxley during an interview on Going Ringside. The Panama City Playboy said that Mox is the most passionate he's ever been and it might be impossible to stop him when he's this focused.
“When I do think of Moxley, I think of danger,” Adam Cole said. “And right now, Moxley is in such an interesting position, where it’s maybe the most passionate I’ve ever seen him. He clearly has a vision for where he wants things to go, where he wants to go, and where AEW wants to go. And when Moxley is this laser-focused, I don’t know if he could be stopped right now.” [H/T Wrestlezone]
Konnan is disappointed with Jon Moxley and the Death Riders
The big premise surrounding Jon Moxley and the Death Riders' storyline is that they were going to change the company for the better since they didn't like the direction that AEW was headed.
However, apart from Moxley and crew beating up a few guys every week, nothing has changed in the company. Hence, this whole storyline has come under a lot of criticism from fans and critics.
Speaking on his Keepin' It 100 podcast, Konnan called the storyline underwhelming since they haven't delivered on their promise about changing the company. He even went as far as to call the group lame.
"I've said this a million times, bro, and it's worth repeating one more time — this Death Riders group is very underwhelming because they came and said, 'We're gonna change the company, there's gonna be a revolution.' The company is the same, they're lame — it looks like a very lame group," said Konnan. [H/T WrestlingInc.]
It will be interesting to see whether Jon Moxley will achieve his goal of changing the company or if he will be stopped before doing so.
