Adam Cole shares a one-word message after possibly teasing big AEW return
Adam Cole has been absent from AEW TV for a while now. But he recently teased a big return to television. He shared a cryptic message on social media.
The Panama City Playboy has been sidelined from action since last year. His final match came at AEW All Out 2023. He and his former Better Than You Bay Bay teammate, MJF, defeated The Dark Order (Alex Reynolds and John Silver) for the ROH World Tag Team Championship.
Despite the injury, he was regular on television until Double or Nothing in 2024. At the event, a returning MJF confronted and attacked him for his betrayal at Worlds End 2023. Since then, he has been sidelined from AEW programming.
On his official X/Twitter account, he shared a photo of himself and The Wolf of Wrestling. The wrestling world believes it might be a hint at his big return to television.
A few hours ago, Cole took to Instagram to share another cryptic post. He shared a photo of himself and wrote a one-word message in the caption.
"BayBay."
Adam Cole might go after gold upon his return
If we dig a little deeper, Adam Cole might have hinted at his potential plans after his return to AEW TV. In his cryptic post featuring The Salt of the Earth, he was staring at the AEW World Championship.
This could mean two things. Either he might go for the AEW World Championship, which is currently in the possession of Swerve Strickland, or fans might see him target his rival's AEW International (American) Championship.
Last year, MJF and Adam Cole were involved in 'The Devil' storyline. The angle never ended properly as the stars involved were sidelined due to injuries. Perhaps fans could finally see the revival of the program once Cole returns to action.
