Adam Cole doesn't think 48-year-old star would ever return to AEW - "I'm not sure if it will happen"

Adam Cole recently discussed the possibility of a former AEW star returning to the promotion down the line and reuniting with him. Cole said though he would love to see Bobby Fish back in the company, he was not sure if it would transpire.

Cole and Fish go a long way back, as the two, alongside Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong, were a part of the Undisputed Era in WWE. The stable had a memorable run down in NXT from 2017 until they all eventually departed the company. Though they had a mini-reunion in All Elite Wrestling a couple of years ago, it didn't last long as Bobby Fish's contract expired in August 2022.

Appearing on Conversations with The Wrestling Classic, Adam Cole addressed the possibility of reuniting with the 48-year-old. The former NXT Champion said he would love to see Bobby Fish back, but he wasn't sure if he would return to AEW.

“I mean I would love it. I’m not sure if it will happen, but I think I think it’d be incredible. I love Bobby Fish."

Fish's stint in the Tony Khan-led promotion was brief, as he exited the company less than a year after joining it in October 2021.

Adam Cole also spoke about absent AEW star Wardlow

Elsewhere in the chat, The Panama City Playboy was asked about Wardlow's unexplained absence from TV. Cole revealed that though he wasn't sure why his former Undisputed Kingdom stablemate was off TV, he kept in touch with him.

"I still think very highly of Wardlow. I'm not sure exactly what he's doing or exactly what he's up to at the moment, but we still keep in contact," Cole said. (H/T - 411Mania)

Adam Cole is currently embroiled in a long-term feud with MJF in AEW. Though Cole failed to secure a match against The Wolf of Wrestling at Full Gear 2024, it's only a matter of time before he gets the chance to lay his hands on his arch-nemesis.
