Adam Copeland, fka Edge, addresses if he will reunite with Beth Phoenix in AEW

Adam Copeland (fka Edge) made his AEW debut in October 2023. Within a year of his first appearance in the promotion, he has locked horns with notable names such as Daniel Garcia, Matt Cardona, Christian Cage, Malakai Black, and more. Furthermore, he has won the TNT Championship twice. But will he work with Beth Phoenix in the company?

Unfortunately, The Rated-R Superstar is currently sidelined due to a tibia injury. While there is no official update on his return date, he recently appeared in an interview with AMNY’s Dean Moses.

During the chat, Moses asked the 50-year-old if he intended to team up with his wife, Beth Phoenix, in the Tony Khan-led company. Copeland revealed that he and Phoenix were intrigued by the idea of forming a "finishing school."

The former WWE Champion said it would be a fascinating experience because he would work alongside his wife and Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood of FTR. However, for the time being, they were just discussing the possibility and figuring out whether a commitment like this would be worth their time and effort or not.

"One thing we have talked about is maybe starting a type of finishing school, where, if there are people within the industry that feel like they’re just missing a little something, we’ll come on down to Asheville. Because you got FTR, you got me, and you got Beth Phoenix," Adam Copeland said. [H/T: EWrestling News]

Copeland and Phoenix teamed up on multiple occasions in WWE as part of the former's feud with The Miz and The Judgment Day.

Adam Copeland is unsure when he will make his AEW return

Adam Copeland recently spoke to Sports Illustrated about various topics, including his eventual return to AEW programming. The WWE Hall of Famer revealed that he hadn't received a timeframe on when he would be 100% ready for in-ring action.

"I don't know what a timeframe is. I don't know any of that. I know that now I can walk, get in the ring, and move around a little bit, but I still feel the deficiency. So, I know I still have some work to do to return to where I need to be," Copeland said. [H/T: Fightful]

Although the former World Heavyweight Champion's return date is unknown, Tony Khan will certainly want him in the title picture when he is back.
