Adam Pearce shares photo of 3 current AEW stars leading to intense speculation of a WWE return

Adam Pearce recently shared a photo featuring himself and three current AEW stars Dax Hardwood, Cash Wheeler, and Buddy Matthews on his social media account. This has led wrestling fans to speculate that these stars might return to WWE soon.

Wheeler and Harwood aka FTR are former WWE stars who went by the name The Revival in WWE. They are former NXT Tag Team Champions, WWE RAW, and SmackDown Tag Team Champions. Matthews also worked for the Stamford-based promotion under the ring name Buddy Murphy and is a former WWE Cruiserweight Champion.

A few hours ago, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce logged onto his X (fka Twitter) account to share an old photo of himself training with Wheeler, Harwood, and Matthews. The photo was cropped in such a manner as if he wanted to highlight the AEW stars in his post. Fans on the internet are pointing out that this could be a subtle hint about their eventual WWE returns.

Check out Adam's post below.

How long will FTR and Buddy Matthews' AEW contracts last for?

Last year in April, Cash Wheeler of The FTR announced that they have signed a four-year contract with Tony Khan's company, and the deal will last till 2027. The announcement was made on Rampage TV taping in Milwaukee, WI. They also revealed that they will retire from pro wrestling after their contract ends in 2027.

Furthermore, back in July, Ibou of WrestlePurists reported that Buddy Matthews re-signed with the Jacksonville-based promotion. The status and length of his new deal were not revealed but he'll be in the promotion for the next few years.
