AEW champion reacts to first title win after 5 long years

An AEW champion has reacted in the only way he can as he won his first title in the promotion. One can say that this was well deserved.

Isiah Kassidy, who is a part of the Private Party tag team, won the AEW World Tag Team Championship with his partner, Marq Quen, on Dynamite: Fright Night. The two defeated their old rivals, the Young Bucks, after trying for five years to get their hands on the gold.

Now, Isiah Kassidy has spoken out on his YouTube channel about how he has been feeling since he became champion. He said:

“Gotta show y’all something. That sh*t’s crazy. We did it, y’all. We f**king did it. I want to thank you for everybody who showed us love throughout these years. To finally get to this point, it took us five years, but hey, we did it, God did it, we did it, f**king won these championships. Dealt with setbacks…this right here makes it all worth it." Matt Hardy reveals he spoke to new AEW Tag Team Champions Private Party

Matt Hardy is a part of one of the greatest tag teams in wrestling history alongside his brother, Jeff Hardy. He knows a great tag team when he sees one, and he has spoken about Private Party.

The former WWE star said that he was pretty confident that they would win the titles when he spoke to them. He said:

"I was pretty positive they were gonna win from speaking to them. In pro wrestling though, it is never official until it actually happens and it goes down in real time. That was great, I know I made a quick post about them and I even acknowledged how cool it was that we had just won the TNA tag team titles and they won the AEW tag team titles. Very, very cool, all of Hardy Party is strapped up now with a little bit of gold on the shoulder."

It is great to see that a veteran like Matt Hardy is keeping tabs on the younger generation. It only bodes well for the future.
