AEW Dynamite’s ratings struggle continues in the wake of another backstage incident this week

AEW Dynamite ratings failed to draw a decent viewership this week. The road to All In pay-per-view has been thrilling as many feuds are at their peak and will face their fate at the promotion's biggest event at Wembley Stadium.

On the latest edition of Dynamite, Bryan Danielson was defeated in a fierce battle with WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett in an 'Anything Goes' bout. Meanwhile, MJF defeated Will Ospreay's ally, Kyle Fletcher. Also, Britt Baker appeared for the first time on the Tony Khan-led promotion since being suspended. Despite a decent show, the ratings and viewerships didn't increase.

Following the show, AEW reported that "Hangman" Adam Page attacked Jeff Jarrett backstage when he was in an interview. While the two were brawling, Mariah May and Toni Storm also ambushed each other. The cameras caught the shocking incident and later uploaded the video on social media.

The August 7, 2024, edition of Dynamite garnered 622,000 viewers and was rated 0.19 among the 18-49 demographics. This is slightly better than last week's show, which drew a 609,000 audience with a rating of 0.18 in demographics. Many believe the Olympic Games have affected the ratings of the show.

Huge matchups are announced for next week, including the AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland, who will be in action against Blackpool Combat Club's Wheeler Yuta.

It will be interesting to see if the ratings increase next week, as the Olympic Games would have ended by then.
