AEW Dynamite sees massive upswing in ratings after controversial star’s return
After two weeks of low-drawing episodes, AEW Dynamite finally saw an increase in its ratings. This week also saw the return of the controversial star Britt Baker.
The episode progressed many stories, as All In London is just around the corner. Fans saw Swerve Strickland, Mercedes Mone, Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, and many others in action. Also, AEW aired a retrospective of Bryan Daniel's career, as he may retire following his defeat at All In.
The recent edition also saw the return of Britt Baker, who was suspended from the company after a verbal confrontation with MJF backstage at Dynamite 250. Although she was seen on screen last week to send Mercedes Mone a message, Britt put her hands on The CEO this week.
The flagship show of AEW saw a surge in viewership and ratings this week compared to the previous one. The show garnered 703,000 average viewers and was rated 0.23 among the 18-49 demographics.
Last week, Dynamite drew 622,000 viewers and was rated 0.19. Many analysts believed that the record low ratings could be due to the Olympic Games 2024. Nevertheless, the latter show concluded last week.
It remains to be seen if the ratings will increase for the next Dynamite episode on the go-home show for All In pay-per-view.
