AEW legend offers condolences on WWE Hall of Famer Pete Rose's passing

An AEW legend has offered his condolences on the passing of WWE Hall of Famer Pete Rose. The star in question is none other than Matt Hardy.

Rose was a professional baseball player who most famously played for the Cincinnati Reds and Philadelphia Phillies. He also had stints in WWE, where he was involved with the likes of Kane and The Undertaker. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2004.

He passed away on September 30 at 83, and Matt Hardy took to Twitter to send out condolences. The latter also recalled how he met Rose earlier this year.

“#RIP Pete Rose - Got to interact with him this year at @GalaxyConCMH, he was a total sweetheart. I was a huge baseball fan when I was young & Pete was one of my all time favorites. Jumped into the photo op at the Con that day with him & Kane & so happy I did. Godspeed, Charlie Hustle!” he wrote.

WWE Hall of Famer Kane once attacked Pete Rose

Kane was a pretty fearsome wrestler in the 90s and 2000s when he portrayed the characters of the masked monster and the big red machine.

He also had a very interesting love-hate relationship with Pete Rose. While he inducted the baseball legend into the WWE Hall of Fame, Kane also unleashed some attacks on Rose.

Most famously, Pete Rose was out talking trash to the fans at WrestleMania 14. Kane, who was supposed to take on the Undertaker, later came out and gave Rose a Tombstone Piledriver, much to the delight of the crowd.

Everyone at Sportskeeda sends their sincere condolences to Pete Rose’s family, who is experiencing profound grief and sadness at his passing.
