AEW makes a huge botch during Jack Perry's segment on Dynamite
AEW star, Jack Perry is one of the biggest heels in the promotion. He is the current TNT Champion and fell victim to a major botch during a segment on Dynamite yesterday.
Last night on AEW Dynamite, a vignette aired for Jack Perry where he addressed his current rival, Darby Allin. There was a major botch on AEW's part during the segment where the programming was suddenly interrupted by a Taco Bell advertisement in the middle of an intense scene. The botch created a buzz among the fans on social media who started joking about what was supposed to be a serious vignette for the Scapegoat.
On X (formerly known as Twitter), a fan posted the hilarious botch during the August 7 edition of AEW Dynamite.
You can check out the botch in the video below:
Perry and Allin are set to collide for the AEW TNT Championship on 25 August in Wembley Stadium, London for All In 2024.
AEW veteran Jim Ross was not a fan of a recent brutal spot involving Jack Perry
Jack Perry alongside his Elite teammates (Kazuchika Okada, Nicholas & Matthew Jackson) and Hangman Adam Page wrestled in the brutal Blood & Guts Match against Mark Briscoe, Darby Allin, Swerve Strickland, and The Acclaimed. During the match, Briscoe delivered a devastating chair shot to Jack Perry's skull which raised concerns among many and also received massive backlash.
On his Grilling Jr podcast, Jim Ross advised both stars to be careful and explained how Jack Perry could have safely taken the chair shot to the back of his head or shoulder area, instead of taking the hit directly to the skull.
"Still got to be careful with it, you gotta be very judicious about how often it’s used, and where it’s used, so forth. I don’t know that our man Mr. Dudley knows any other way of doing it [...] that was an ECW chair shot. He came from downtown with it, man, and it resonated off another man’s brain. So, I can understand people’s concern, and by and large, I agree with them. That shot could have been on the back of the head, the upper back, shoulder blade area, but still, man, it resonated right off the man’s head," Jim Ross said. [From 4:19 to 5:04]
Jack Perry is preparing to defend his TNT Championship against Darby Allin at the All In PPV event. It will be interesting to see who comes out victorious in Wembley Stadium.
