AEW makes a massive announcement related to Kazuchika Okada following The Young Bucks' disappearance
The Young Bucks walked away from AEW last week. Meanwhile, the Jacksonville-based promotion made a massive announcement related to Kazuchika Okada following Matthew and Nicholas Jackson's disappearance from the company.
Last week on Fright Night Dynamite, The Young Bucks defended the AEW World Tag Team Championship against Private Party. Zay and Quen defeated the brothers and captured the title.
Later that night, fans saw Matt and Nick Jackson leaving the arena after claiming that the promotion was getting "too chaotic" for them. The Elite members also declared that they would be working from home for a while.
Now that The Young Bucks are gone, it seems like Tony Khan is preparing Kazuchika Okada for a singles run in the promotion. The Rainmaker is set to be a part of this year's Continental Classic.
On the November 6 edition of Dynamite, the Jacksonville-based promotion released a video package hyping up The Rainmaker's involvement in the upcoming tournament. The reigning Continental Champion was revealed as the first participant of the tournament.

Kazuchika Okada is reportedly set to be Kenny Omega's opponent after the latter returns to AEW TV
A recent report by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated that Kenny Omega was nearing his in-ring return, and Kazuchika Okada might be The Cleaner's first potential opponent.
Meltzer said, “[Kenny] Omega is talking about his comeback as if it’s a thing rather than a possibility, so it should be relatively soon. The idea all along has been to set up a fifth match with Kazuchika Okada, although that is quite the standard those two have to live up to.”
The Best Bout Machine has been out of action since December last year after getting diagnosed with a life-threatening condition called diverticulitis. His last match in All Elite Wrestling was against Ethan Page on the December 5, 2023, edition of Collision.
