AEW makes a massively awkward botch about Mercedes Mone; she reacts to the now-deleted post
Mercedes Mone is one of the top female stars in AEW. However, the company just made an awkward botch about her which prompted the AEW star to react to the post.
Mercedes Mone has quickly risen to the top of AEW's women's division. She captured the TBS Championships from Willow Nightingale earlier this year. She then went on to become a double champion at Forbidden Door after she defeated Stephanie Vaquer to become the NJPW Strong Women's Champion.
Mone has come under criticism from a section of fans recently after rumors of her contract started doing the rounds. However, AEW has made it clear that they are betting on The CEO to carry the division on her shoulders, along with other stars.
Hence, some fans felt Tony Khan's promotion probably got a bit too eager and wished Mercedes Mone a happy birthday months in advance. The TBS Champion's real birthday is 26 January. However, the company just incorrectly wished her a happy birthday, in November.
The post remained on social media for quite a while before it was deleted. However, it was up long enough for the former WWE star to react to her early birthday wishes.
"Earliest birthday wishes I’ve ever got! I love you @AEW."

Mercedes Mone will defend her title at AEW Full Gear 2024
Mercedes Mone has successfully defended her TBS Championship since winning the title. However, she is set to face her toughest challenge yet. For the past few weeks, Kris Statlander has made it clear that she wants to reclaim the TBS Championship.
She has been feuding with The CEO for a few weeks now. This feud turned personal after Mone and Kamille tried to run Statlander over with their car but the plan backfired on them. Last week on Dynamite, the former TBS Champion got a measure of revenge on her rival by driving her and Kamille through a wall. These two women will now compete at Full Gear 2024 with the TBS Title on the line.
It will be interesting to see if the TBS Champion will be able to retain her title at Full Gear and continue her run as a double champion.
