AEW Original open to a WWE return after 18-year absence
An AEW original is open to a return to WWE after an 18-year absence. This would undoubtedly put a spanner in the works and could make viewing a lot more interesting.
The star is none other than Frankie Kazarian. He was one of the first stars to sign up with AEW in 2019 and left in late 2022. As for his time with the Stamford-based promotion, he was there only for a few months in 2005. He was on shows like Velocity and did not have any major feuds. He returned to TNA, where he was an established star.
He has now taken to Twitter to tease an official return to the Triple H-led company, saying that he has some unfinished business there.
“If #WWENXT wants to king to appear, they have to just say his name 😉 I have some unfinished business there as the OFFICIAL representative of @ThisIsTNA,” Kazarian wrote.
Lately, World Wrestling Entertainment and TNA have been collaborating, and if they wanted, they could make this match possible. Kazarian himself participated in a battle royal for the NXT Championship on the white and gold brand last month in a surprise appearance.
Frankie Kazarian wants to face WWE star Randy Orton
In the same Q&A on Twitter, Frankie Kazarian expressed his desire to take on Randy Orton in a match.
The Viper is a legend in the sport, and it would be anyone’s dream to fight him in the ring. A fan asked Kazarian if he had any dream opponent in wrestling, to which he replied:
“Still a few that I’d love to get in there with that I haven’t yet. @RandyOrton is at the very top of that list.”
A WWE legend taking on a TNA legend would not have been possible a few years ago, but it is now. If and when that comes to fruition, it would be a dream come true for Kazarian and also a treat for the fans to witness the match.
