AEW performer excited to make in-ring return soon
A popular personality has spoken about his AEW debut next month. He revealed that he was looking forward to this. The personality in question would be A.J. of the Costo Guys.
Big Boom A.J. recently revealed that he had signed a one-year deal with the company and would compete in one match. This will be against QT Marshall at the Full Gear Zero Hour Pre-Show. This would not be his first rodeo in the ring, as he competed on the independent circuit from the late 1990s to the early 2000s.
A.J. Befumo and his son Eric (AKA Big Justice) recently appeared on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. They spoke about their popularity on TikTok and their upcoming appearance at AEW Full Gear on November 23. A.J. mentioned how grateful he was for the opportunity and how he was going to bring the boom for his match.
“I am returning to wrestling; I’m coming back to bring the boom. I am very grateful. I will be wrestling for All Elite Wrestling. It’s going to be November 23. It’s going to be at the Prudential Center, right down the road in New Jersey. I will be taking on QT Marshall. And Big Justice is going to be in my corner. And Big Justice, we’re going to bring the boom.” [H/T WrestleTalk]
QT Marshall reacts to his in-ring return to AEW after more than a year
QT Marshall's match against Big Boom AJ is important to him, and this will be his first on-screen match for the promotion in over a year.
Despite holding a position in the company, Marshall was about to leave the promotion late last year but eventually returned to his backstage role. He has not made on-screen appearances in any capacity since then, with his last match being against Gravity at AEW Rampage: Fyter Fest in September 2023.
On X/Twitter, QT Marshall mentioned how he was grateful for the opportunity to compete against A.J. He revealed it took a lot of persuading, but now it was set in stone.
"I’m so grateful I was able to convince AJ to step back in the ring…took a lot of persuading But your boy QT is back in an AEW ring! You’re welcome fans!"
It will be interesting to see how the match goes, considering this will be Befumo's first match for the promotion and his first time sharing the ring with Marshall. Fans will have to stay tuned to see whether he brings the boom or not.
