AEW personality reacts to Drew McIntyre's heartbreaking clip following WWE return: "Hang in there"
A wrestling legend and AEW personality recently responded to Drew McIntyre's recent emotional remarks and observations regarding the pro wrestling industry. The individual in question is none other than Jim Ross, one of the most seasoned and iconic commentators of the sport.
During his appearance at The Busted Open Holiday Party, Drew McIntyre delivered a heartbreaking statement addressing his feelings about having devoted a significant portion of his life and time to his wrestling career instead of his family, and his grievance over not being contacted or checked in on by a lot of his peers during his recent WWE hiatus. The Scottish Warrior reflected on his changed priorities, and vowed to leave the industry having "accomplished everything".
McIntyre's comments have generated a lot of discourse on social media. Recently, they elicited a response from WWE legend and AEW announcer Jim Ross, who took to X/Twitter to send a heartening message to the former WWE Champion.
"Hang in there my friend. I'm always here if you need me," wrote Ross.

The veteran commentator has been with AEW since 2019.
What is Jim Ross' next assignment in AEW?
Jim Ross joined AEW's broadcast team at Full Gear last month to call the action for Swerve Strickland's match against Bobby Lashley. The 72-year-old legend also performed commentary for Jon Moxley's brutal defense of the All Elite Wrestling World Championship against Orange Cassidy.
Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast a few days ago, Ross revealed that he is scheduled to lend his voice for the Tony Khan-led promotion's upcoming pay-per-view, Worlds End. The event is set to air later this month from Orlando, Florida.
"I’m gonna be at the next AEW pay-per-view; it’s gonna be emanating from Orlando later this month. I think that’ll be my next assignment. Tony’s been putting me in the two main events, the last two matches of the pay-per-view. So hopefully that’ll continue. I figure it will. I haven’t heard anything differently [sic]. But that’s a nice trip for me. That’s a car trip, and no airplanes," Ross said. [H/T: Fightful]
It remains to be seen what All Elite Wrestling has in store for fans on December 28.
