AEW personality reacts after Kayla Braxton turns down rumors of joining Tony Khan's promotion - "Thank god"
AEW and WWE fans are buzzing this week over the future of Kayla Braxton. The rosters are also reacting following a major announcement, and now one All Elite star has gone public with how he feels about the potential new hire.
Braxton recently announced that she is leaving WWE. The SmackDown on-air talent has been with the company since October 2016 but will be finishing up at Friday's live episode from New York City. It was reported that Braxton had secret talks with Tony Khan's promotion after deciding to leave WWE because she saw "the writing on the wall" with officials deciding on others as the top two main roster on-air talents.
The Bump's former co-host took to X today to deny the rumors, noting that if she wanted to continue her pro wrestling career she'd stay with the biggest company in the world. AEW on-air talent RJ City responded to the 33-year-old with just two words that have brought on several reactions from fans:
"Thank god," RJ City wrote.
Braxton and City have had a few social media interactions in the past, with fans fueling the potential drama between the two. It wasn't clear if they were actually friends. Braxton possibly going to AEW has led to a mixed bag of feedback from fans.
