AEW personality shares rare backstage photo with The Undertaker
The Undertaker is one of the most respected men in the history of professional wrestling. Several stars have nothing but nice things to say about The Deadman. Even an AEW personality recently shared a rare backstage photo with him.
Jake 'The Snake' Roberts may be known to modern wrestling fans as a manager. However, to hardcore fans from back in the day, Jake was one of the most feared heels in the business who was capable of frightening the young audience with his dastardly actions.
Roberts gained a lot of traction during his time in the WWE and feuded with several top stars in the company. During his time in the Stamford-based promotion, Jake formed a formidable friendship with The Undertaker and played a key role in The Deadman's early days in the company. The two of them teamed up together on several occasions in 1991 and 1992 before competing against each other at WrestleMania VIII
Jake Roberts recently shared a rare photo of himself with The Deadman on social media. Check out his tweet here:
"A rare backstage picture with @undertaker from back in the day. I saw huge potential in Mark early on and I'm glad I got to be part of his early days with the company."
The Undertaker doesn't want to be a commentator in WWE
For several years, The Undertaker remained in character and didn't do many interviews and podcasts. However, now that he has retired from the ring, The Phenom has been busy sharing some of his stories and has a unique way of presenting himself. Given his massive presence, many people have often wondered if The Deadman would become a commentator down the road.
Speaking on his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker stated that he was absolutely certain that he would never become a commentator since it is the worst role.
"There is absolutely zero chance I would have ever went on commentary. They've got it the absolute worst. Funny thing is, though, what people don't realize, there were two really good places to watch the show from: either at Gorilla position next to Vince [McMahon] or go to the truck and listen to Kevin Dunn communicate to his people."
It will be interesting to see when 'Taker will make his next televised appearance in WWE.
