AEW plants seeds for MJF’s potential next feud on the road to All In 2024
AEW has seemingly laid the groundwork for MJF's next potential feud on the path to All In 2024 against another top star. This is none other than Will Ospreay.
The Wolf of Wrestling defeated RUSH in a hard-fought contest on the June 19, 2024, episode of Dynamite. After the bout, Brian Cage informed Friedman that he would be facing CMLL star Hechicero at Forbidden Door 2024.
Later, during the Wednesday Night show, Daniel Garcia defeated Rhett Titus in a singles competition. However, after the match, he and Matt Menard were assaulted by Cage of Agony. Their beatdown of the former JAS members came after Garcia and Menard foiled the group's post-match attack on Dalton Castle after his defeat against Hechicero on Collision last week.
Fortunately, The Red Death and Daddy Magic found an unlikely rescuer in MJF, who took down The Alchemist of the Ring. However, despite taking out The Gates of Agony, Friedman was overpowered by Cage and Hechicero, who applied a painful submission on The Salt of the Earth.
Unexpectedly, reigning International Champion Will Ospreay came out to make the save. The Aerial Assassin cleared the ring alongside the former AEW World Champion before staring each other down. MJF then exited the ring, leaving Ospreay to help Garcia to his feet.
Friedman had previously called out Ospreay over his claim of being the best wrestler in the world. As AEW heads to All In 2024, it remains to be seen if and when MJF crosses paths with The Commonwealth Kingpin in the squared circle.
