AEW President Tony Khan makes a huge announcement on Ricochet
Ricochet hasn't been in AEW for very long, but he's already made several enemies. The high-flying star has now made Swerve Strickland his target, and he's set to appear on this week's episode of Dynamite.
On January 1, The One and Only blindsided Swerve Strickland and sliced him with a pair of scissors. He continued his antics last week by tricking fans into believing Swerve was entering the Casino Gauntlet Match before switching the music to his own theme.
Tony Khan took to X (fka Twitter) today to announce that Ricochet will appear live on this week's Dynamite: Maximum Carnage in Cincinnati. Since Swerve Strickland is not the kind of man to forgive disrespect, fans should look out for the former World Champion during the 36-year-old's segment.
"THIS WEDNESDAY, January 15! Cincinnati, OH 8pm ET/7pm CT Maximum Carnage #AEWDynamite We’ll Hear From @KingRicochet Live! At the aptly named Maximum Carnage Dynamite Wednesday, we hear from the man who savagely sliced up @swerveconfident with scissors! Ricochet this Wednesday," wrote Khan.

Ricochet has suffered several setbacks in AEW
After debuting in All Elite Wrestling last August, Ricochet was off to the races. He resumed his legendary rivalry with Will Ospreay, teased joining The Hurt Syndicate, and entered the Continental Classic Tournament, but he's found little success thus far.
The former WWE Superstar lost to Kazuchika Okada in the C2 semifinal at Worlds End, then lost an IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match against Zack Sabre Jr. at Wrestle Dynasty on January 5. He had another chance at gold in last week's Casino Gauntlet Match, but he fell to Powerhouse Hobbs.
It seems that Ricochet has been taking his frustration out on Swerve Strickland as he treks further down a villainous path. Whether the former AEW World Champion can set him straight remains to be seen.
