AEW Rampage ratings take a huge beating in the past week
AEW Rampage ratings and viewership have dropped massively compared to last week. The show featured Young Bucks, The Acclamied, MxM, Orange Cassidy, and many other stars. The one-hour event had some decent action, with four matches.
Rampage has been airing on TNT since August 2021. However, after a recently announced new deal between the promotion and WBD, reports claim that the show will be discontinued until the end of the year. While massive, the weekly event cooled off after a couple of years. The show airs random matches, and no crucial stories are shown.
In a shocking turn of events this week, the Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada lost to Private Party and Katsuyori Shibata. Further, Kamille, Queen Aminata, and Conglomeration took huge victories at the Friday Night event.
As per Wrestlenomics, AEW Rampage garnered 216,000 total viewers and was rated 0.07 among the 18-49 demographic. This is the second-lowest average viewership in the show's history. The episode with the lowest viewership was held in August and drew 209,000 viewers.
It will be interesting to see if Rampage could increase their ratings by putting in more meaningful matches.
