AEW's Ricochet under fire after huge accusation

AEW star Ricochet has just been accused by one of the members of the commentary team of stealing a top star's finishing move. The move in question would be Will Ospreay's Hidden Blade.

Just moments ago, the former WWE high-flyer was in tag team action alongside Powerhouse Hobbs as they faced off against Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher of the Don Callis Family.

At a point in the match, the commentary desk brought up Ricochet's new finishing move which they revealed was called the Spirit Gun. This was a sliding lariat or elbow strike. Nigel McGuinness brought up how this looked all too similar to the Hidden Blade and accused him of stealing Will Ospreay's move.

Tony Schiavone had a counterpoint for Nigel's claims as he wondered whether Ospreay was the inventor of the move or if he had gotten the idea for the move from someone else.

Schiavone then wondered whether McGuinness had done the same with some of the things in his moveset when he was still wrestling.

Apart from the Vertigo, it seems that Ricochet will be using the Spirit Gun moving forward as his main finisher as he used it once more tonight to help him and Powerhouse Hobbs score the victory. It remains to be seen whether The Aerial Assassin will have anything to say about that.
