AEW's Ricochet sends prayers to Chris Bey who was knocked out cold in scary injury
Top AEW star Ricochet has sent his prayers to TNA's Chris Bey, presumably wishing him a speedy recovery. The 28-year-old sustained a concerning injury at a recent taping.
Chris Bey, alongside his ABC tag team partner Ace Austin, challenged The Hardys for the TNA World Tag Team Championship during the taping of IMPACT on October 27. The bout, unfortunately, witnessed The Ultimate Finesser suffer what appeared to be a severe injury that incapacitated him and required the former X-Division Champion to be stretchered out of the show.
It has since been reported that Bey has undergone emergency neck surgery and is recovering. He has received an outpouring of support from fans and peers alike, with AEW star Ricochet recently taking to X/Twitter to convey his prayers to Bey and undoubtedly wish him a swift and sound recovery.
"[prayer hands emoji] @DashingChrisBey," wrote Ricochet.
Ricochet picked up back-to-back wins on AEW television last week
Ricochet has dominated the competition in All Elite Wrestling since his debut at All In 2024. The One and Only has been unbeaten in the Tony Khan-led promotion and has cited his record to demand a match against AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita. He argued that the latter's interference and heel strategies cost him the title in his previous two attempts at capturing it.
Ricochet continued his winning ways this past weekend on All Elite programming. The Human Highlight Reel defeated Nick Wayne on Rampage and beat Lio Rush in a hard-fought contest on Collision. It remains to be seen whether Ricochet will be granted an International Championship bout against Takeshita anytime soon.
The Highlight of The Night was also extended an offer by newly signed AEW star MVP, who handed the former Intercontinental Champion a Hurt Syndicate card on Dynamite, seemingly inviting him to join forces with him and Shelton Benjamin. However, later on, in Collision, Ricochet clarified that he was not interested in doing business with The Franchise Playa.
